How to enter
Simply click on the enter now button below and upload your favourite photo of your pet and fill out the details requested on the form.
The entry stage is open until Sunday, October 8, 2023, so you have plenty of time to find the best photo of your pet to give you the chance to win a share of £1000 cash on offer.
A photo taken on your iPhone or Android phone should be of sufficient quality.
So, get your cameras at the ready and start snapping!
Remember, the competition is open to all kinds of pets, the souvenir supplement will be printed, on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

All the entries received by the closing date, will be showcased in a special souvenir supplement which will be printed in the Shropshire Star on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
Each photo will appear with your pets name only, and will be allocated their own Unique Voting Code, which will be published alongside your pets photo.
How to vote
Once the souvenir supplement has appeared, this will signal the start of the reader vote, special vote tokens will appear every day in the Shropshire Star from Wednesday, October 18 to Saturday, November 11 2023.
Encourage family and friends to collect as many vote tokens as possible for your chance to win a share of the £1000 cash.
How the winner is chosen
Once the final vote token has appeared in the Shropshire Star on Saturday, November 11 2023, all vote tokens need to be sent back to us by the closing date of Friday, November 17 2023 to be counted and verified.
The pet with the most votes, will be crowned the Shropshire Star’s ‘Pawtrait Pet’ 2023.
There will also be 2nd and 3rd places awarded, based on the number of votes received.
